Is Your Phone Safe?
According to a Chicago Tribune article (CLICK HERE) and an independent study, iPhones emit an unsafe amount of radio frequencies. The Chicago Tribune partnered with a third party lab to test the level of radio-frequency emissions from various smart phones. The FCC approved lab found that several iPhone and Android models exceeded FCC regulations for radiation exposure.

The results from the lab leaves many wondering how the iPhone 7 and 8 along with the Samsung Galaxy S9, S8, J3, Moto e5 Play, and g6 Play were allowed to enter the market place. Is the FCC actually regulating phone companies? According to Sam Row from The Chicago Tribune, “the FCC said it would take the rare step of conducting its own testing over the next couple of months”. Though the FCC will review the tests, what damage has overexposure actually caused and how does it affect heavy users such as children and teenagers. What steps will the FCC take in the future to properly regulate these tech giants? As stated by Row, “[phone] manufacturers are allowed to select the testing lab — and only a single phone needs to pass in order for millions of others to be sold”. To read more (CLICK HERE).
The report of unsafe exposure by companies many of us put our trust in raises the question, Will the FCC value the safety of people over a private company’s interests? What can we do to protect ourselves? Do you have one of these ‘dangerous’ phones?
